Dear Readers,

If you haven't noticed, I have a pretty awesome family. The other day my dad and I drove up to IKEA. We took my car because I was the one who REALLY wanted to go. Anyway, my dad noticed that my car was a little more than half way full. So we went to gas up and my dad jumped out of the car and said, "I got it". Not only that but then my dad paid for my car to get a car wash. I was so grateful for my daddy. I know that he loves me and that he will help me the best that he can. I know it was only 16 dollars, but that meant a lot to me. I hope to be able to repay him one day. I'm so grateful for my awesome dad and all the things he does for me!!! :)

Yesterday I worked a 12 hour shift. Right as I got off work, I got a call from my Dad telling me that my sister was in the ER and to come down as soon as I could. I rushed down stairs to the Emergency Room to find my little sister wrapped up in a blanket. Tears filled her eyes and she lifted the blanket off to show me her arm. It was definitely broken. It looked like a snake. All bent and "S" shaped. We got her into X-ray of course where they diagnosed it with a Radius break. The doctor said in order to fix it properly, they would have to put her to sleep and re-break it and straighten it out. I thought she was going to go into a panic attack. Luckily for her, the doctor and the Nurse let me stay in there with her while they did the procedure. It didn't take long and she wasn't totally asleep. Of course she couldn't feel anything and her eyes kept rolling in the back of her head. After the loud "popping" noise of putting her arm back into place, took my sister a good hour to wake up out of the anesthesia. She kept making silly comments about things that weren't making sense. I ask her a question, she'd reply and then turn her head and fall back asleep. We got to take her home at midnight. By then I had been up for 21 hours. I was ready to go home and go to bed. Today she had a much better day. Her arm is in a sling until we go meet with the Trauma doctor who will put her in a cast. I don't even want to know how much this is going to cost my parents. Way too much, but at least my sister is okay right?

Today I must praise my family. They are the most precious treasures to me.

I will start with my younger sister. She is the hardest worker. She is so kind to everyone. She likes and accepts everyone, and everyone likes and accepts her. She is a natural athlete. She loves to play any kind of sport. She will play with anyone. She is my little ray of sunshine on a bad day. She's always trying to cheer me up when I'm in a bad mood. I love her dearly.

Next my youngest brother. Oh that boy is more important than he realizes. He has an amazing talent for creating things. He understands how people feel. He has the best empathy for people. He wants the "underdog" to feel loved and welcome. He is always willing to do what's right. He loves to help out the older folks. I will be forever grateful for his example of service.

My brother that is closest to me in age. He can think outside the box! He is very witty and funny. He makes people laugh. He can bring a quiet dull room to laughter and smiles. He has a good testimony of the gospel, even if he seems quiet. How I love him.

Now for my mother. There are not enough words to describe the talent that woman possesses. She is definitely a woman of many talents. I'm so grateful for the things she does for our family. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, homework, a friend to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, a hair brusher, a heart mender and many more. I will always treasure the service my mom does for me. She is and will always be a dear friend to me!

Lastly, my father. I look up to him with greatness. He is such a good example of how a man should love a woman. I know my father loves my mother very much. He always gives good council. Even when I make a mistake, my father is there to help me. Regardless of my actions, my dad will always be to my rescue. I love my daddy. I'm so glad I have him.

My family is my life and my joy. I know we definitely get on each others nerves. Believe me.... I know. But that is not the most important thing. The most important thing is that we have each other. I couldn't imagine a world with out them!!! :)
